Transportation
Around the Lake
-
If you wish to use car as a method of transportation, please arrange in advance as taxis are not easy to comeby - arranging a private transfer is the best way to get around by car. There are also buses that operate around the lake.
-
Using the lake as a means of transport to other towns and villages is highly recommended as it's a great experience. There are water taxis available at recognisable boat docks around the lake, and are available to use up until the hours of sun down. Similarly, there are also foot passenger boats (ferries).
-
There is a railway network that runs along the eastern side of the lake - it's a great way to see the lake and the surrounding countryside.
Please keep in mind there are no readily available taxis around Lake Como.
